The MAP programme is academically directed by two programme chairs and representatives of the four focal subjects. MAP is administratively organized by a programme office. Please click the links on the left to find out more information
As expected from an interdisciplinary study program a whole range of institutions is involved in MAP beyond the two host departments. In particular, a strength of the programme is that the lectures are not only provided by teaching staff of FAU Erlangen-Nuremburg but also by the universities in Bayreuth and Würzburg. Thus, MAP students have the advantage of being able to gain experience in areas beyond the focal topics of FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and also to immediately form a multi-institutional network.
In addition to the University some top-class research institutes in Erlangen participate in MAP, amongst them the Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB) and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light.
