Applicants are required to have an excellent Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or related subjects, a strong motivation for interdisciplinary study and be able to demonstrate an above average level of interest in cutting edge research topics relating to some or all of the MAP focal subjects.
German applicants should have an overall Bachelor's grade of 1,9 or better. International applicants coming from different grading systems need to have been awarded a mark in their undergraduate degree equivalent to “good” and belong to the top 10-15% of their year group.

Since MAP is an international study program and lectures are held in English, very good English knowledge is to be demonstrated through a high TOEFL (or equivalent) score.
