MAP is an international study programme, that is, it is held mainly in English. Therefore applicants need to prove their English knowledge by providing TOEFL (or equivalent) test scores.
However, some students admitted to MAP might experience that their English is not quite sufficient enough for them to follow the lectures. They can sign up for additional English courses offered by the Language Center of the University Erlangen.
The Language Center offers German courses as well. Foreign MAP students will attend an intensive German course during the orientation programme in September. For cultural integration and to get more out of their studies in Erlangen, MAP students are strongly advised to also sign up for free evening German language classes during the semester.
